What's Covered
Dental coverage is offered to salaried employees and their families enrolled in GE Health Choice. Coverage level and covered family members must match GE medical coverage.
- Preventive and diagnostic - Services that help you maintain healthy teeth and gums and detect problems early (cleaning and x-rays)
- Restorative - Procedures that restore the structure of teeth and prevent further decay (fillings, inlays/onlays, crowns).
- Prosthodontic - Construction and repair of bridges, dentures and implants.
- Reasonable and customary (R&C) fees - The dental plan will pay based on this amount, which is determined by the Dental Benefit Claims Administrator. Some providers outside of the network may charge fees in excess of what is reasonable and customary.
- $50 annual deductible, $150 family maximum
- Applies to all services except Preventive and Diagnostic and Orthodontia
- 100% of reasonable and customary (R&C) fees
- 80% of R&C fees

MetLife negotiates reduced rates for dental services with dental care providers in the dental care network. Use these providers to decrease your out-of-pocket costs. Some dental providers who are not part of a Preferred Provider Network may charge fees in excess of what is reasonable, necessary and customary.

Go to metlife.com/dental > Find a Participating Dentist > Find a Dentist > select PDP > enter your zip code.
At your provider:
When at your providers office you will need to tell them you work for GE and provide your GE Single Sign On number as the member id number for you and your dependents. There is no dental id card provided or needed at your providers office.
