Leighton Park offers an exceptional values-led education for 11–18-year-old girls and boys, located next to the University of Reading.
We combine the best academic progress in Berkshire with national award-winning personal development and sector-leading pastoral care. Led by our Quaker values, we challenge our students to imagine a better world. We then support them to develop the character, confidence and determination to be changemakers. Head, Matthew LS Judd explains: “We don’t try to be like other schools. Our starting point is to nurture each young person to really think about who they are and what they want to achieve. From there we do everything we can to support them to succeed as themselves – true to who they are and all the more remarkable for it.”
We were awarded Senior School of the Year in the national Independent Schools Association Awards 2023-24 and won the Excellence in the ISA Pupil Personal Development Awards 2022.
We are particularly well known for our strengths in STEAM subjects and Music, being the only school in Europe which is a Yamaha flagship education partner.
Our academic approach to STEAM is all about creative problem solving, combining the analytical skills from STEM subjects with the creative habits of mind from the Arts.
We offer a broad range of GCSEs and A Levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and BTEC in Creative Digital Media and CTECH in Sport.
